A restart of Windows Server should never be necessary for this. We also use Windows server operating systems and never have seen a problem like this.

There is something wrong with the communication between instances. This is just not normal and we would have to suspect it is an operating system level issue. Otherwise, it is not making any sense. Yes, main instance always visible and responsive. May need to do an OS reinstall. I don't really want to trouble you further to support what is likely a local/OS issue. |

The first thing that we want you to do is to change the port number in the main instance of Sierra Chart. Global Settings >>Sierra Chart Server Settings>> DTC Protocol Server: Historical Data Port: Try a different port number.
