In Find Symbol, "Get Options" brings up a dialog box with all the options

a) This has symbol, description, expiration. Missing: p/c, strike
b) None of this is sortable. Want this fridays option? Need to scroll through the entire list of about ~17k entries
c) Copy All Symbols to Clipboard: copies just the symbol column

so not only we can't find anything in this dialog box, we can't even copy the whole thing to a spreadsheet and sort/search there

Also, do you have an explanation of the symbol meanings? How do I know how to figure out what "E1AV25 P5700.FUT_OPT.CME" means without looking at the other columns? And explanation of E1AV25 would be great!

I am not even asking for a full option chain display. But you surely can make what you have a bit more useful? Thanks

We will check on the copy option. There should be support for copying the description. We need to look into this.

An options symbol like:
E1AV25

Is set by the exchange not Sierra Chart.

i think that just sorting on expiry date (most recent) at the window open, will be great

Also regarding:
Missing: p/c, strike
This is part of the symbol:
E1AV25 P5700.FUT_OPT.CME"

I was wondering if you guys have some sort of knowledge on how to decode something like E1AV25.
Contact the CME Group for help with this. We do not know.

The next release will have significant improvements, with the symbol list for received symbols, when using the Find Symbol window.

yes of course, but since it is not a standalone column, we can't sort on it. If the improvement you are making is to make all columns go to clipboard, the strike & p/c being in separate columns would enable the user to easily filter and sort

Yes we could always theoretically create a column for strike price and Put/Call but that requires parsing the symbol and the format is not consistent. It may be obvious looking at the CME symbols, but it is not something we can reliably program. Update: although thinking about it we might be able to do that because these fields are contained within the security definition data as separate fields of information.
