I would like a very simple additional feature on Recent Bid & Ask volume

Hello! I am using chart DOMs and currently have enabled the Recent Bid Volume and Recent Ask Volume. For how much time these values appear alternating or are overwritten, is designated through the apporpriate settings. Under the current configuration, the values remain always 'on' and appear as leftovers from the past. Until they are crossed over during the last milliseconds declared in the above settings. So far so good. I desperately need an option for erasing *ALL* the previous bid and ask volume values that are assigned to time in the past, older than the settings mentioned above. That means I need to have in front of me only the bid and ask volume bars and numbers, of the last xxx milliseconds declared above. During this time period of xxx milliseconds the values need to be constantly changing, as is done now. All other values need to be blank. Not leftover values from the past. This way I know exactly the bid and ask volume opf the ROLLING last xxx milliseconds regardless of the time duration of each bar/candle. And where there has been no volume, to have blank values (not zeros). This wau I will have in front of me the exactly bid and ask volume profile and numbers of the last xxx (rolling) milliseconds. Is it possible to add an option for this feature? Thanks in advance. |

We have set this as a Feature Request, as it is not something that is in the system at this time. We are curious, you state that this would be a "ROLLING last xxx milliseconds". Does that mean that you just want all values more than xxx milliseconds to be removed and anything stays. Or do you really want the entire column reset and cleared to nothing every xxx milliseconds? We do want to point out the ability to clear the Recent Bid/Ask columns by selecting "Trade >> Clear Recent Bid/Ask Volume". You can also do this by right-clicking on the DOM. There is also an ACSIL function for this, refer to the following: ACSIL Interface Members - Functions: sc.ClearRecentBidAskVolume() So you can create a custom study that will reset the Recent Bid/Ask every xxx milliseconds. Hello and thank you for your prompt reply. I am trading mostly NQ contacts. NQ and ES run extremely fast. Speed is the most important parameter. I receive tons of information through my charts. How prices are filled is crucial and this is the reason for watching recent bid & ask volume. On your reply, yes, I need all values older than the xxx milliseconds to be removed (blank) and all the values generated during the last xxx milliseconds to be visible and the newer ones to be added to the older ones, as trading price constantly crosses over them. All the above translates to a bid and ask rolling volume profile of the last xxx milliseconds. Without any serious alternation, you can add an option like: 'Display recent bid & ask activity older than above' or anything similar, just below the option for adjusting the inactivity of the recent volumes. By selecting 'No', the program constantly erases everything older than xxx milliseconds. |
