[User Discussion] - How does a triggered trail stop function with scale in?

Suppose I enter a trade for 1 contract at 6500 with attached orders. The sell stop is at 8 ticks and the trigger offset is 25 ticks, with a trail offset of 2. Suppose I then place another entry (again with attached orders of 8 ticks, offset of 25 ticks, and trail offset of 2 ticks) to add to this initial position. The price for this new entry is 6505, 1 contract. How exactly would the trail stop behave in this scenario? Does the trail still behave as it would with the first entry, or with the second entry, or with the average price? I would like to know if there is a way to have the trigger offset be calculated relative to the average price of the total, scaled in position, assuming each position add is made with the same attached order configuration. Thank you

AFAIK the second order's stop will be independent of the first.

You can easily test this in a backtest/replay.
