Hello, I've noticed that the Zoom In tool doesn't highlight the selected region when selecting a region that is 60% or more of the chart when it's already max zoomed out. Anything less than that, say 50%, 30% or 5%, where it's a smaller part of the chart when it's max zoomed out works perfectly fine though. Thanks |

We are not understanding this, nor are we able to reproduce anything that we think may be what you are referring to. We did a Zoom In repeatedly and we are able to see the box to select the region each time. What do you mean by "max zoomed out"? Max zoomed out meaning when the chart can't be zoomed out anymore. For instance, on any chart whether it's 1-min/5-min/1hr/daily, the most amount of bars that can be seen displayed on a screen is say around 1800 bars (depends on your monitor). If I use my mouse wheel scroll to zoom in with just one move, it goes from 1800 bars to 900 bars. This is also the same when doing the method described on #5 of Working With Charts: Changing Bar Spacing where it says, "Change the bar spacing in the chart by dragging the time scale at the bottom of the chart using your pointing device. To do this, left click and drag left or right along the time scale at the bottom of the chart. This will increase or decrease the spacing." If I just left click on the time scale and drag left just once, it zooms in by half (1800 bars to 900 bars). The subsequent mouse wheel scrolls or time scale drags is less (900 bars to 600 bars to 450 bars), etc. The reason why I'm saying that is because I think it could be related to the Zoom In tool function. If I want to use the Zoom In tool anywhere outside of those areas, it doesn't properly do so. For example, selecting a region that starts at 1200 bars wouldn't zoom in at all. If you still don't understand, I can send a video at your request. Thanks. |

We are still not understanding the issue. We understand what you mean by "Zoomed Out" in terms of you have the maximum number of bars displayed in the chart. But we still do not understand how this relates to the Zoom In tool and the particular issue. We are not seeing any issue with using the Zoom In tool when the chart is fully "zoomed out". You can attach a video if you have one. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I have attached a video to this message. I'm only showing the time scale dragging because I think the Zoom In tool right now only works when it starts within the areas that's permitted from the bar spacing. Thanks for your help. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-08-01 17:51:34
