Hello, I run a single Sierra Chart instance with Service = Interactive Brokers [trading], but market data come from Denali (U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape). For all tickers I get the correct US instrument in realtime. However, XLY and XLB resolve to Canadian instruments (e.g., Auxly on TSX, iShares Canadian Long Bond ETF) in the chart header/mapping. If I append the -NQTV suffix, the instrument resolves correctly, but I do not have an NQTV subscription, so the data are delayed. I therefore need to keep using Denali Consolidated Tape realtime without -NQTV. Could you please advise the correct Symbol Settings mapping so that: Data source remains Denali realtime (U.S. Consolidated Tape). The Symbol stays “XLY” / “XLB” (no -NQTV) and resolves to the US Select Sector SPDR ETFs. Environment / things already checked: Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds = Yes. Symbol Settings → Update From Server has been run. Service is IB[trading] because I route orders via TWS; data are Denali (I see the (M) indicator). Thanks in advance |

We are not seeing any issue related to this. When we open a chart for "XLB" it is for the "Materials Select Sector SPDR Fund". And XLB-NQTV states the exact same fund. The same is true for XLY and XLY-NQTV. Please get us an image of the entire Sierra Chart program (including the Title Bar) with either a chart for XLY or XLB active. The Title Bar gives the description of the symbol, which is why we need to see that. I’ve attached the full-window screenshot you requested. One clarification: I run two Sierra Chart instances on the same machine and version. Instance A (I use for trading futures with Dorman Broker): Service = SC Data – All Services (Denali, U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape). → Here, opening XLY or XLB (no suffix) resolves correctly to the US Select Sector SPDR ETFs in realtime (no -NQTV), as expected. Instance B (trading): Service = Interactive Brokers [trading], with Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds = Yes enabled (I see the (M) data indicator). → In this instance, entering XLY or XLB (no suffix) resolves to Canadian instruments (e.g., Auxly / iShares Canada). If I use XLY-NQTV, it resolves to the correct US SPDR, but I do not have NQTV, so obviously the data are delayed. |

Quick update regarding yesterday’s issue with sector ETF symbols. Today (Aug 20, 2025), everything is working normally without any change to my settings. All sector ETFs load and update correctly. No local configuration changes between the two sessions. Could you confirm if there were any backend symbol/metadata updates or service issues that might explain the transient behavior? Also, if there’s a recommended step on my side should this recur, please let me know. Thanks |
