There are a few other options that you need to take into consideration. Specifically whether you are using an Evening Session or not and how you have the option for "New Bar At Session Start" set. If we assume that you have the main session times set to 09:30 and 17:00 with no Evening Session, then the candles will only be for the defined time period. So the last bar will only show data through 17:00. In other words, for the 6 hour example, you would have bars that show data for 09:30 to 15:29:59 and 15:30 to 17:00. If you have the Evening Session set, then what is going to happen will depend on the "New Bar at Session Start" setting.
