How does uneven time work with indicators?

Glossary: RTH: - I'll be taking 0930-1700 as RTH. "Uneven" : - Meant to refer to when timeframe cannot be divide even within a RTH session. - Eg:2H TF cannot fit in 6.5H of RTH but 30M can - 2H is uneven, 30M is not Qn: When TF is uneven, do the indicators cut off right at 1700 or is data not computed for that portion? Eg: If I have 6h TF, I will have 2 bars (0930 to 1530) and (1530 to 1700). I would like to know if the data for 2nd bar is 1.5h or 6h? Expected should be 1.5h right. |

There are a few other options that you need to take into consideration. Specifically whether you are using an Evening Session or not and how you have the option for "New Bar At Session Start" set. If we assume that you have the main session times set to 09:30 and 17:00 with no Evening Session, then the candles will only be for the defined time period. So the last bar will only show data through 17:00. In other words, for the 6 hour example, you would have bars that show data for 09:30 to 15:29:59 and 15:30 to 17:00. If you have the Evening Session set, then what is going to happen will depend on the "New Bar at Session Start" setting. Thank you, fortunately I have Evening session disabled. And I guess if I enabled it, the hours will just keep running, i.e , instead of 1530 to 1700, it will be 1530 to 1700 + 1800 to 2230? This is assuming I have Evening Session from 1800 to 0929. |

It depends on the setting for "New Bar at Session Start". If that is set to "Yes", then you will get a new bar at the beginning of each session. Otherwise, the bars will start at the beginning of the chart, which will be the start of the Evening Session, and then each bar will be the set bar period going forward ignoring the Session Times.
