The data starts in the file, then is loaded and turned into the bars that make up the chart. The actual individual trades that make up the bars that are stored in the .scid file are not kept in memory. Although that should not make any difference. What exactly do you mean by "I have very different numbers in between those 2 raw datapoints"? We need more information on what you are viewing, how you are viewing it, and what you are comparing.
