I am running 2657 for teton because this is the version that runs smoothest for me.
And now it seems to be working fine. How could it be? We do recommend updating to the latest release. We do not know what was occurring, so we can not say why things are working fine now. Also, are there any options to change the server that my SC - teton connects to?
There is just one option, which is on the "Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings" for "Use Backup Connectivity as Primary". But we do not recommend doing this, as there is no need to use the backup server. And, are there any differences in connection to the server between SC - all services and teton - clearing firm
In terms of trading - yes. "SC Data" (or "SC Data - All Services") means you are not connected to a trading service, so you are only able to trade using the built-in Simulation Mode. Whereas when you connect to Teton, you are sending trading orders to our server that is colocated with the CME Group computers. Keep in mind, data is slightly different. When you get your data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, then that is also coming out of the same data center as the CME Group, but there are a few optional servers available for this. Refer to the following: Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Server Address and Port Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
