Trade >> Trade Service Log is empty

Checked all places to enable logging to Trade Service. No logs are seen in "Trade Service Log".

Trade Activity in TAL shows correct orders when placed manually in Sim1 account. But automated trading orders are returning -1 in my studies.

My log shows below message in "Message Log"
Reason='General order error. Refer to 'Trade >> Trade Service Log' for specific message for this trading action error' *

However when I open "Trade Service Log", it is empty. Please assist.


Adding additional flags that I am checking to ensure code is not blocked.

How to get more details on return code of -1?

There is an issue with the "Global Settings >> Message Categories" in recent releases, where these are all being set to "No", which means that the Message Log and Trade Activity Log will not show anything.

Please go to "Global Settings >> Message Categories" and set all the options to "Yes". Then look at your "Trade >> Trade Service Log" and see if the information is showing (which it should be). If it is still blank, then let us know.

That helped. Seeing messages in Trade service log now. (Have to enable all categories !!)
