I followed the edit/delete data: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Retrying the Download When There is Data in the Chart Attached pictured gaps and chart settings. The stop of data is correlated to the same day where I was disabling basic windows network settings in adapter like: - Disable Jumbo Packets - Ensure Interrupt Moderation is Off - Disable Large Send Offload for both IPv4 and IPv6 - Disable ARP and NS Offload - Flow Control Disabled etc etc. Is there any settings listed, or not listed in network adapter that I disabled to optimize network that sierra chart needs for data downloading? I know its not really sierra charts end, but on my end messing with network settings. Just wanted to know if there is a specific network property that sierra needs. Update. It has nothing to do with Internet settings or sierra. From Rithmic support, I supposedly hit my rithmic historical data cap for the week- 40gb a week. This never happened before and I didnt change any chart layouts. Could it be the frequent "delete data and download" use that made it reach the cap? For the future. Could using "high supression" on chart instances help with this? (I have 4 instances always running). Is there other settings I could turn on to prevent hitting the cap? From Rithmic: Our users are limited to 40 Gigabytes per week of historical data, beginning on Sunday morning. There may be a couple of factors at play, so keep in mind the following: 1. The typical R | Trader Pro user uses less than 100 Megabytes in a week to load charts, even if they load a chart going back to 2011. 2. Some programs will not make the most efficient use of calls to our database. So for example, if you are looking at 180 days (about 6 months) of data, you are looking at what we call a Daily Bar. We support calls to our database to get Daily Bars, but some programs download raw ticks (which could be millions of messages per day) just to create a Daily Bar, instead of asking for the compressed bar from our server. What gets written to disk in this case might be much less than what is pulled from the server. 3. Some programs have errors, where they might ask for a million ticks, and then ask for the same ticks again, and again, and again. In such cases, we must defend our system as such requests can crowd our other customers out of the system. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-09-04 14:18:06

The compression settings in the Sierra Chart settings is only for the data from us. That will not make any difference to the data from Rithmic. We really can not say where the issue comes from. You were using the option for "Delete Data and Download" when you saw gaps, so it sounds like you had already hit your limit prior to your doing this. But again, we can not say - particularly since Rithmic has a lack of historical data, so you may have been missing data, just due to Rithmic not sending it or having it available. The best solution is to use our Denali Exchange Data Feed for your data. Although for the CME Group data at the non-professional rates, you need to have a live, funded, futures trading account, and Prop Firms do not count towards this requirement. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges To setup the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, follow these instructions: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
