Dear Sierra Chart,

I opened the platform today and received an error "Error downloading historical intraday data for EURUSD. Historical data logon error: Unsupported protocol version". Please see attached. Basically, I am not getting the data from overnight at the moment. Wondering if you would be able to please help. I did perform an update to Sierra chart to current version. Also, no updates have been performed to my PC in the last 48 hours.

This is very unusual to get an error like that. It indicates corrupted data, really which should never happen.

Try again:
Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download" from the main Sierra Chart menu. You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. This command is on the main Sierra Chart menu at the top. Only use it from that location.

That is good but this is a very rare error to encounter. Sometimes users can have it when using Linux and Wine but not on Windows.

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Fully re-download the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". Only use this command from the Edit menu at the top of the main window or chart.

Or, in the case of a Continuous Futures Contract chart, follow these instructions:

After about a minute provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:

You have a problem with your Internet connection. The data is being corrupted, the data is getting blocked. There is definitively a problem on your side with Internet connectivity. This is absolute 100% fact.

Try using a different Internet service provider. Or maybe there is some third-party firewall software running on the computer degrading connections and corrupting data.

This is very very clear there is something wrong.

Ok I am currently using my phone's internet data for the past week since there's an outage with my provider but this never happened then. But its most likely that to be the issue. Will update. Thank you!

Sorry for the inconvenience but it was definitely network problems. I tried downloading with a different network and it works fine now.
